When is the time to consider Radiant Heat?
Now! Once you have poured your floor, it is not nearly as cost efficient nor comfort effective. For as little as $1.30 per Ft2 you can at the very least have the tubing in the floor for future use.
How does it work?
Small tubing generally 1/2 in diameter is installed prior to the pouring of your floor. Later a heater of choice is installed along with a pump system to circulate warm water through the tubing. Because water transports energy 3,000 times greater than air, you can enjoy much lower energy cost than the typical forced air heating system.
Comfort?
Radiant Floor heating concentrates the heat near the floor where you most benefit from it. Because Radiant Heat does not use blowers, it doesn't circulate dirt, dust, pollutants or allergens throughout the space.
